Founded in June 2006, Pacilink is a reputable integrated construction engineering contractor engaging in the provisions of a full fledge and comprehensive construction engineering and related services, including (i) construction engineering services; (ii) building services; and (iii) fitting out and other construction-related services. ? In New Zealand, Pacilink is engaged by a property group to provide construction and engineering support in converting a CBD office building to a 200-room hotel. ? Therefore, we require a Business Manager to be in charge of the operations in New Zealand, working with our business partners, third-party professionals, government agencies, as well as being able to work closely with the head office and the board in Macao.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES General Management

• Responsible for achieving team targets and for implementing team work plans, technical and quality standards.
• Responsible for safety, environment and quality outcomes on all construction projects and engineering and construction team activities.
• As part of the Senior Management team, work closely with the board and the head office in the development and delivery of the Company’s budgets and business plan.
• Lead and develop a team (internally and externally) working across the areas of design, construction and procurement.
• Align internal and external resources to deliver on allocated targets and objectives.
• Maintain adherence by direct reports and personally to all operational policies and procedures.

Construction

• Ensure projects under construction are completed Safely, within Schedule and Budget.
• Lead all high-level interactions and problem solving with regulatory/government authorities and clients during construction.
• Provide guidance, direction, advice to the team (and direct inputs as required) regarding the construction of renewable energy projects.
• Lead (when required) the resolution of site industrial relations disputes, negotiations with relevant unions and bargaining activities.
• Lead sub-contract tender and contract negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures within Pacilink group.
• Maintain strong reporting lines to the Pacilink head office.

Engineering

• In collaboration with Pacilink’s head office engineering team ensure that a strong link is maintained and that Pacilink systems and methodologies are followed.
• In collaboration with Pacilink and New Zealand procurement and engineering team members and whilst following the global procurement processes, oversee the review of tenders for all main supply contracts and support the selection of successful tenderers.
• In collaboration with Pacilink and New Zealand procurement team members, oversee (and/or lead) technical, commercial and contractual discussions regarding agreements for project related supply and services.

MINIMUM APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

• Bachelor degree or above; and
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Experience in construction or civil engineering is an advantage.

• Degree / Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Architectural Studies or equivalent;
• At least 5 years’ relevant working experience and 2 years’ in project management is preferred;
• Solid experience in large-scale construction projects covering hotels and Casinos in Macau, and 2 years in project management is a plus.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or above with at least 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Can independently carry out Quantity Surveying duties for a project, i.e. the preparation of tendering and documentation.
• Administration of on-site quantity survey duties, inspection of BQ, budgeting and measurement.
• Good knowledge about costs for local manpower and materials, and take charge of the submission of VO.
• Good communication and liaison skill, responsible to communicate with Landlord on VO and indemnification.
• Excellent command of written & spoken English and Chinese.
• Competent use of all QS software.

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Economic of Trading or equivalent.

• At least 2 years’ experience in accounting with minimum one year’s CPA firm or multi-national company’s experience is a plus
• Familiar with Account payable/ receivable, GL entries (including but not limited to document checking, info verifying and system input)
